General Conditions, Booking Policies and Cancellation
General Travel Conditions
The price includes:
– all the services listed for each type of service depending on the routes described for the various sailing boat excursions (e.g. lunch, pedal boat, aperitif, etc.)
– Skipper, Hostess / Steward services (if provided) as scheduled
– taxes
The price does NOT include:
– specified personal equipment (e.g. sunscreen, hats, etc.)
– fuel (if specifically indicated)
– Moorings at ports in case of overnight stays outside the Catania area
– lunches, drinks, tips, rentals and extras generally not included in the program
– all services indicated as optional or not included
All boat trips always offer a multilingual guide service (Italian and English). For French or Spanish, availability will be given only upon request and availability of the skipper in the language.
Children Rates (only for individual reservation tours)
– 5€ reduction from the price of the standard rate, taking into account the seasonality of the price for children aged between 4 and 10 years.
– 10€ reduction from the price of the standard rate taking into account the seasonality of the price for children aged 0 to 3 years.
Standard rates are applied to children over the age of 10 (again depending on the seasonally established price table)
Booking Policies
To confirm your booking, you must inform us of your credit card number (we do not accept American Express) with the relevant expiration date and card holder as a guarantee or if you don’t have a credit card you could make an advance payment of 50% of the total on the basis of the chosen service during the booking request.
If the sum of the balance at the end of the service should be retained by the credit card, we remind you that the transaction will take place from the office as we do not have POS for payment by credit card on our sailing boats
We inform you however that to be sure that your booking has been successful you will need to receive a confirmation email!
Cancellation Policies
Sicily Sailing Experience will reimburse the participation fee (in whole or in part depending on the case) when the excursion cannot take place due to force majeure (e.g. adverse weather conditions) or for the interruption sudden following an unavoidable decision by the skipper for issues related to the safety of the stay on the boat.
No reimbursement is due to those who do not show up at the start or renounce by their choice to part of the journey already started.
Depending on the selected service, you can cancel your reservation free of charge, but communicate it in advance, depending on the specific booking / cancellation policy of the service in question, with respect to the date of the boat excursion.
In case of late cancellation (therefore with fewer days of notice from the date of the service than specified) or in case of NO Show the same morning scheduled for the execution of the service), we will charge a penalty ranging from 50% to 100 % (based on the specific service booking policies chosen) of the total amount on the credit card you communicated at the time of booking.
Changes and Liability
Sicily Sailing Experience reserves the right to modify itineraries also during construction if the skipper deems it appropriate and due to force majeure, in this case the reimbursement will be quantified according to the specific case and the contingent situations.
Sicily Sailing Experience is not responsible for damages that may result to travelers due to third parties or due to force majeure (earthquakes, floods, landslides, typhoons, storms, riots, strikes, attacks etc.).
The maritime excursions are always subject to the decisions of the Skipper and the maritime authorities in charge.
The travel program is covered by an insurance policy according to the rules established by Italian law.

The processing of personal data will take place at the specified location, using automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access. Sending e-mail to the addresses indicated on this website involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message. The treatments connected to the services of this site are only handled by personnel in charge of processing. The personal data provided by users who request dispatch of informative material or proposals for candidacies (?? curriculum vitae ??, etc.) are used only to perform the service or provision requested and are communicated to third parties only in the case where this is necessary for this purpose. Apart from that specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide personal data to request the services offered by our company. Failure to provide them, however, may make it impossible to obtain what has been requested.
Rights of the Interested
As foreseen by the art. 7 of the D. LGS. N. 196/2003, the interested party can obtain at any time the rectification, updating, integration, cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law; the attestation that all the above operations have been brought to the attention of those to whom the data have been communicated within the limits of art. 7 paragraph 3 letter c) of Legislative Decree 196/2003; to legitimately oppose the processing of data concerning him or those that are processed for the purpose of sending advertising material or for carrying out market research or commercial communication, by writing to the postal address or sending an e-mail to the owner of the treatment.
Legal Notices
The data controller who manages this website intends to describe accurately the management of the processing of personal data of users of the same and provide, in addition, an information pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 30 June 2003, n.196 (Privacy Code). The information is not valid for other websites that may be consulted through the links present, for which the data controller is in no way responsible. The processing operations connected to the web services of this website take place at the aforementioned company headquarters and are only handled by technical personnel in charge of processing or by persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations. No data deriving from the web service will be communicated or disseminated. The personal data provided by users who request dispatch of informative material are, however, used only to perform the service or provision requested and are communicated to third parties only if this is necessary for that purpose.
