Catania – Costa Saracena from Catania to Brucoli and back

A full day on the sailing boat day to sail along the wonderful “Costa Saracena”. During this experience you can admire the uniqueness of the Castle of Brucoli and, during the stop in the Bay of Arcile, the “Turtle Rock”. While navigating, you will learn the basics of sailing and some curiosities and legends about our land. During the day you will have the possibility to do snorkeling and we will offer you also lunch.

CANCELLATION POLICY	Free cancellation 7 days before the tour No show or late cancellation : 50% of the total amount as penalty

Tips

We suggest you to bring your own swimsuit, a towel and sunscreen lotion. Wind jackets and hats can be needed since it could be windy while sailing.

If you think you can suffer from seasickness we suggest you to take pills and patches before the tour. If you don’t have the equipment required we will provide you with the necessary, ask for it when you book.

Highlights

Welcome on board!

Once you meet the skipper you will get on board on a boat with three double cabins (one will be available during the excursion), a bathroom with shower, an external shower, a kitchen and a refrigerator.

Sailing along the Sarancen coast

Starting off from Catania Harbor we will sail for nearly two hours to reach the pictoresque Costa Saracena. During this navigation we will relax and learn the basics of sailing.

Turtle Rock

The first stop will be in the Bay of Arcile where you will be able to see, towards the shore, large rock formations. One of these rocks is completely surrounded by the sea, it is a few tens of meters away from the shore and is called "Turtle Rock" because of its profile that reminds just the one of the homonymous marine animal.

Swim and lunch at Brucoli Bay

At Brucoli Bay you can take your second swim in the day and snorkel with our equipment (mask and flippers). Here you will admire the white Aragonese castle by the sea. The colors of the backdrops are gorgeous, ranging from blue, to light blue, to green. During the stop we will offer you a typical lunch included in the price with an appetizer, pasta with mussels, fruit, water and local white wine.

Back to our home port

Relax while sailing back towards our beloved Mount Etna. You will be back in Catania around 6.30 p.m.
