Cyclops Riviera – From “Porto dell’Etna” to “Acitrezza” and back

A full day excursion discovering the “Cyclops Riviera”. During this relaxing day you will admire, at the base of Timpa Falconiera, the beach of Santa Tecla, the naturalistic area of Acitrezza, the mythological Cyclops’ Islands and the Medieval Castle in Acicastello. While navigating, you will learn the basics of sailing and some curiosities and legends about our land. During the day you will have the possibility to do self-guided snorkeling and we will offer you also lunch.

CANCELLATION POLICY	Free cancellation 1 month before the tour No show or late cancellation up to 7 days before the service: 50% of the total amount as penalty Cancellation one week before the excursion : 100% of the total amount for penalty
BOOKING POLICY	First please send us a booking request and allow us to check availability Then to guarantee your booking, will require a prepayment of 50% of the total tour price at the moment of booking and the balance of the service 7 days before to the excursion date.

Tips

We suggest you to bring your own swimsuit, a towel and sunscreen lotion. Wind jackets and hats can be needed since it could be windy while sailing.

If you think you can suffer from seasickness we suggest you to take pills and patches before the tour. If you don’t have the equipment required we will provide you with the necessary, ask for it when you book.

Welcome on board!

Once you meet the skipper you will get on board on a sail boat that will be that will be moored at the pier of the "Porto dell'Etna" of Riposto.

Swim and snorkel in Santa Tecla

Once you will reach Santa Tecla, you can have the first swim of the day and practice some self-guided snorkeling. The rocky lava coast of Santa Tecla still remembers the closeness of the Volcano Etna and has breathtaking scenery, especially near the sixteenth century watchtower guard, built on a rock at the Scalo Pennisi.

See Cyclops’ Islands, have lunch in Acitrezza

At your arrival in Acitrezza you will have the chance to visit the little kind village of Acitrezza in one hour of free time; you can spend it visiting one of the many bars and taste the famous Granita Siciliana. When you come back on board we will offer you a light lunch included in the price.

Marvel at the Medieval Castle

After lunch, sailing towards Acicastello, you will pass under the medieval castle of Acicastello. Spectacular the view of the castle by the sea. You can observe the characteristic “pillow lavas” found under the castle and due to the rapid cooling of submarine eruptions.

Back to our home port

During the return trip you can take a bath offshore (weather permitting). You will be back in Riposto around 6.30 p.m.
